The brakes slammed. The tires shrieked across the pavement.
Benny pitched forward in his seat. The blood drained from his face — not because he was scared, but because he understood that Kyson was furious.
“Did your brother teach you to talk like that?” Kyson’s voice was calm, but it carried a cutting edge. His eyes were sharp and cold. “Whether I make choices you understand or not isn’t your concern. But the way you speak about women tells me you’ve forgotten everything I ever taught you. If I hear that again, go back to your brother. Don’t show up in front of me p>
Benny didn’t move. His face had gone completely pale.
Kyson inhaled slowly, restarted the engine, and leaned back into his seat. His posture looked relaxed again, but the warning in his tone didn’t soften. “And pass a message along. Benny stayed where he was, lips pressed together, watching the car disappear.
Back in his room, he wandered aimlessly, restlessness settling in. For the first time, the world felt oddly cramped.
