Dana, for her part, failed completely to grasp the gravity of what she had just heard. Moments after her cab disappeared down the road, a black Mercedes pulled up sharply at the club entrance.

Without hesitation, Devin shrugged off his jacket and draped it over Zaria, while Linda made a sharp gesture to the security guard before stepping aside to call the police.
