Her voice must have drawn attention, because Lyman stopped at the door. He let out a slow breath, pulled out his phone, and made a call. “Nocturne Bar. Come get your woman and keep her under control.” Then he hung up.
Kailey muttered something unintelligible against his shoulder. Lyman’s eyes narrowed, and he lengthened his stride toward the car.
He placed her into the back seat without ceremony. The sudden shift made her head spin, and she tried to push herself upright.
“Kyson…” she murmured, then frowned. Kyson no longer belonged to her. They were divorced. So who was in front of her now?
