Yet how could something like that simply fade? Olivia had clearly meant to injure her for real.
Kailey pressed her lips together and turned to Olivia without another word.
Olivia stood in a stunned haze, her head drooping as if her thoughts had tangled into silence.

Devin, who had been watching the scene unfold with wide eyes, was caught off guard. “Yes! I’m calling right now!” No one had ever imagined Kailey could turn this fierce. Those slaps had surely stung her own hand.
After ordering someone to keep a tight watch on Olivia, Kailey seized Kyson’s wrist and guided him back into the living room, insisting on finding ointment for his hand.
