“Don’t give me that look! You two just got married. Isn’t there anything special in the works p>
Special plans? To be honest, she and Kyson hadn’t even bothered with the basics most couples observed.
Zaria caught the hesitation immediately. Her eyes went wide. “Are you serious? You two haven’t even — you’re both young and healthy. How is that even possible p>
Kailey was caught off guard by the bluntness and reached for her water, taking a slow sip to hide the color in her cheeks before speaking with forced calm. “You’d be surprised. There’s a lot to be said for keeping things respectful p>

Zaria let the compliment stand, then circled back to her point. “Anyway, you should really do something memorable tonight p>

“Come on, do I really need to spell it out? Every man wants to feel special — especially someone as accomplished as Mr. Blake. Give him a little surprise, and he’ll be even more devoted to you p>
Kailey pressed her lips together, idly tracing the rim of her cup with her fingertip.
She wasn’t ready, truthfully — but if Kyson wanted to take that step, she doubted she would refuse him.
Zaria caught the shift in her mood and gave her a friendly pat on the shoulder. “It’s not every day you meet a man worth keeping, Kailey. Don’t let a good one slip away p>
While Kailey had never believed in clinging to anyone, she couldn’t ignore everything Kyson had done for her. Maybe it was time to show him some appreciation.
