Felicity claimed that a good drink and a buzzing crowd were the perfect cure for old heartbreaks. With her best friend by her side, Kailey was happy to go along with whatever the night brought.
They splurged on the bar’s most expensive drinks. Why not? They claimed the best seats in the house. Absolutely.

“Why do you ask?” Felicity, grinning, adjusted her top and shot Kailey a playful look. “Let’s turn the tables for once and just enjoy ourselves. I want you to see that there are plenty of good men in the world besides Ryan.” She believed the best way to break the spell was to meet more people. After all, the mystery only existed because Kailey hadn’t met enough of them — that was why Ryan had held such a grip on her. Before, her overbearing uncle had kept a close watch on everything. But now that she was free, wasn’t it time she had some fun?
