Kyson didn’t answer. His arm stretched out and rested along the back of her seat. As he leaned closer, her slim figure was naturally drawn into his space. His eyes locked onto hers — dark and steady. For a second, she was certain he was going to kiss her.
But Kyson didn’t. He only looked at her, as if he wanted to etch her face into memory.
After a long pause, his voice came out low and rough. “Kailey, I might not be the husband you imagined. I don’t have much experience, and I’m far from perfect. But I’ve already made up my mind.
