The next morning, Jessica drove straight to Mountain View Residence. As expected, the guards stopped her at the entrance.
She removed her sunglasses, her expression shifting instantly. “Do you know who I am? Your boss invited me here a few days ago. He even told me to come by more often. Did you forget p>
The guards exchanged a glance, then stepped aside.

She parked in the yard. Just like before, Kailey was there, standing in the same spot with a brush in hand. Jessica stayed back for a moment, watching quietly. When Kailey paused and reached up to rub her neck, she finally walked over.

Jessica set the food out on the table — all greasy comfort food. She assumed Kailey didn’t get to eat things like this often, tucked away in a place like this.
When Kailey spotted the fried chicken, she blinked in surprise. “I thought someone like you would be strict about calories p>
