Karol caught sight of him and chose to drop the subject, though frustration bubbled quietly inside her. These two were hopeless.
They greeted each other with brief, polite words, and neither mentioned a single plan for the day. Karol clenched her jaw and made up her mind in silence. She couldn’t let things stay this way. If they wouldn’t act, then she would.
