The rest of the process took less than two minutes. When the official seal came down on the certificate, the sound echoed through the quiet room — serious and final. Kailey stared at the marriage certificate in her hands, and everything felt unreal. “Kyson, I can’t believe it p>

He didn’t answer. She noticed he had stopped walking. When she turned around, sunlight streamed in from behind him and wrapped around his tall frame. He lowered his head slightly, a few strands of hair falling over his forehead and shading his eyes, which looked deep and unreadable.

Kailey forgot how to breathe. Her vision filled with his face, so close that every detail felt magnified. When he pulled away, she unconsciously ran her tongue over her lips.

She didn’t get to finish. Kyson reached over and caught the hand holding the certificate. He laced their fingers together and held the document up between them. His expression stayed calm. “We should share this happiness with everyone. Let’s post it p>

“Aren’t you going to post too?” he asked.
