Kailey let out a soft breath and smiled. She lowered her gaze as someone lifted the white veil and placed it over her face.
Footsteps echoed from downstairs and moved closer by the second. Neither she nor Kyson cared much for complicated traditions—they had cut down most of the formal steps and planned to head straight to the hotel for the ceremony.
“What a waste. I prepared so many games to tease the groom. Forget it. Let me at least see if his groomsmen are good-looking…” Julissa said as she hurried toward the door. She pulled it open and stopped cold. “Mr. Owen?” She turned around slowly, her eyes wide with disbelief.
Ryan didn’t wait for her to react. His expression was dark as he pushed past her and strode into the room.
