Work still had Kailey tied up when Kyson stepped through the door. From the living room came loud noises mixed with unclear shouting. A frown crossed Kyson’s face as he walked inside, nudging aside a can that lay in his path.
“You idiot! Didn’t you see someone squatting there? Kailey, are you trying to get yourself killed p>
The controller was suddenly snatched away, and Dagmar assumed without thinking that Kailey was the one standing behind her. When she turned around, however, she found herself staring at a face so striking it made her breath catch.
“Who do you think you are?” Dagmar burst out, her voice unsteady. “Do you have any idea how rude it is to bother someone like this p>
With a slight tilt of his head, Kyson let a few strands of hair fall over his forehead, partially shading his eyes. His tone stayed cold and distant. “Leave p>
Heat rushed straight to Dagmar’s face the moment he spoke.

Words caught in Dagmar’s throat, and she could not come up with anything to argue back. Earlier, Karol had stepped out to buy groceries, and Dagmar had gotten completely carried away while gaming — she had intended to tidy up before Karol returned.
Lowering her gaze, she took in the scene on the floor: scattered empty bottles, snack bags, and other trash. Straightening her back, she retorted, “It’s not like I’m refusing to clean. Besides, I’m a guest here. Do you even know what that means p>
“So you know you’re a guest?” A faint smile appeared on Kyson’s lips. “I’ve never seen a guest behave like this. You have ten minutes. If the place isn’t clean by then, pack your things. I’ll have a driver send you back to wherever you came from. Your cousin won’t object p>
Shock froze Dagmar in place. All she could do was stomp her foot in fury as Kyson walked upstairs without another glance.
How could Kailey end up with a boyfriend like him? Someone that insufferable did not deserve her at all.

Kyson had no interest in wasting time arguing with Dagmar. After leaving his luggage in the bedroom, he pulled off his shirt, his toned build fully on display. Picking up his phone, he sent Kailey a message: “What time are you done with work p>
With that sent, he walked straight into the bathroom. By the time he stepped out of the shower, a reply was already waiting.
“Six. I probably won’t need to stay late today, but I’ll still work a bit once I’m home. So busy.” The crying emoji at the end made Kyson laugh. He set the phone aside and went to get dressed.
After changing, he made his way downstairs.
