There was no way those people would wake before noon anyway. Morning meals weren’t even part of their routine.
Once they were ready, they headed downstairs together. Every door remained shut, and the entire floor was still wrapped in silence.

It took Kailey a second to understand. She had never seen him blush before. Last night had been the first time. Now, apparently, was the second.
Still, why was he speaking as though they were negotiating a business deal?
“It’s nothing that serious,” she replied softly, turning her face toward the window so he wouldn’t see the color rising to her cheeks.
A faint crease appeared between Kyson’s brows. He had always thought Lambert’s advice was questionable, but now he was starting to think it was completely useless. That morning alone, real life had already contradicted Lambert’s so-called “Guide to Romance” twice.
