“How can you say that?” Irene exclaimed. “A wedding happens only once. If you don’t take part, you’ll regret it later p>
Seeing how sincere she was, Kailey nodded slowly. “You’re right. I get it p>
“That’s better.” Irene smiled brightly and continued. “You’re both busy, so just message me whenever inspiration strikes. Any concerns too, alright p>
Kailey blinked. “When did you even think of all this p>
“Last night,” Irene replied playfully, pointing beneath her eyes. “Didn’t sleep a wink p>
“Thank you.” Kailey inhaled softly, moved but unsure what to say. Irene hadn’t just planned one option — she had prepared several, and each was impressively thought out. “I’ll send you the wedding plans later. No rush deciding.” Only then did Irene let her leave.
On the drive to work, Kailey watched the scenery slide past, Irene’s excited voice replaying in her head. Without realizing it, she smiled. She had always envied Kyson. Now, it seemed she had something of her own to cherish.

With Irene taking full charge, Kailey and Kyson agreed to meet Kyson’s father next, then visit the Owen family in Jucridge. As they started arranging travel documents, news arrived — Kyson’s father would be returning soon. There was no longer a need to travel abroad.
Yet Kailey couldn’t shake a separate unease. She had made a promise to Quentin. She was supposed to collect someone from the airport that afternoon.
